Our Team

Laura joined the team at SIC in 2017 as part of the Property & Casualty Department as the Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative. She supports the sales staff and takes care of the day-to-day service needs of clients. She holds a CISR Designation and loves that her job allows her to get to know each client on a personal level.

Laura has been happily married for 28 years and has two daughters. She is the Activity Day Girls Leader at her church and volunteers at the school in their Archery program. She loves to go camping with family and friends, especially to the mountains.

Hunter graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2016 with a degree in finance and real estate. He began with SIC in April of 2019. He also serves on the Charleston Homebuilders Association Board of Directors and was previously voted Charleston HBA’s insurance agent of the year. Hunter is currently working on his CIC designation and enjoys the hands-on approach at SIC that allows him to personalize his client’s risk management programs.

Hunter is a big Gamecocks football fan and enjoys working on real estate in his free time. He was born and raised in Columbia and loves spending time with friends and family on Lake Murray.

Adam started with SIC in 2017 and serves as a Personal Lines Producer. He holds a Property and Casualty License as well as Life, Accident, and Health License. Adam is a member of the Kershaw County Young Professionals and Camden Jaycees.

Adam is married to his beautiful wife and they have two wonderful little girls. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and enjoys supporting the Gamecocks. Adam also relishes the opportunity to play golf in his spare time.

 

 

Joce has been with SIC since 2012 and in the insurance industry since 1997. She is a Medicare Consultant and Advisor. Joce assists clients with the Federally Facilitated Marketplace as well as direct enrollment for Individual and Family Health Coverage.  She currently serves on the South Carolina Department of Insurance Continuing Education Advisory Board. Joce is a member of the South Carolina Association of Health Underwriters (SCAHU) and the Columbia Association of Health Underwriters (CAHU) where she served as President from 2007-2008.

Joce is married and has two children and five grandchildren. She loves being outdoors and camping. Her happy place is at the beach!

David has been with SIC since 2018 following an extensive career for a large insurance carrier. He works as a benefits consultant and enjoys using his knowledge and experience to assist his clients in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive, cost-effective benefit package for their employees and themselves. David has also been an active member of the National Association of Benefit Professionals since 1997 and has held numerous leadership positions in both the local and state chapters in South Carolina.

David is married with two children. He loves football, particularly the Crimson Tide. He enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting the mountains, fishing and hunting.

 

Janet has been with SIC since 2002 where the passion and dedication she found in her colleagues inspired her journey to the insurance industry. She received her Health and Life Benefits license in 2002. She serves as an Account Manager with a focus on South Carolina Bar members, staff and their families.

Janet has been married for thirty-six years and they have one daughter. She enjoys time with family and friends and visiting her daughter in Charleston. When she can, Janet loves to take cruises in the Caribbean!

 

 

DeAnna has been with SIC since 2021. She serves as a Commissions Specialist. She got her start in medical billing and enjoys being in the insurance field. DeAnna enjoys her co-workers, the challenge of her job and learning new things about the insurance industry.

DeAnna is married with two grown children. She enjoys spending time with family and ministering to others. In her spare time she likes to cook, play games and shop!

 

 

Mark has been with SIC since 2001. He got his start in the insurance industry in 1995 and holds the RHU designation. Mark served as the SCAHU President in 2010-2011 and on the NAHU National Legislative Council from 2010-2014.

Mark is married with two children. He enjoys golfing with friends, watching baseball and going to the beach. He is an avid Gamecocks fan!

 

 

 

Stacy is an Account Manager with SIC and started with the team in 2021. She is a recipient of the T. McCoy Cornerstone Award for excellence as an Administrative Professional. Stacy is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a degree in business management. She loves that working with SIC allows her to help people and loves making their clients happy!

Stacy has been married since 2012 and has two daughters. She enjoys home decorating and DIY projects, watching TV series and movies and fun shopping days!

 

 

Greg has been with SIC since 2022 and serves as an Employee Benefits Account Manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He holds the REBC and RHU designations.

Greg has three children. He enjoys soccer, the beach, the mountains, trying new foods, and walking the many trails in South Carolina. Greg is also a fan of the Oxford comma.

 

 

 

Charles has been with SIC since 2018 and is the Director of the Property and Casualty Division. He has been in the insurance industry for over 35 years. Charles currently serves on the Board of Directors of the HBA of South Carolina as the District Area Director for District 4. He has been recognized as Associate of the Year for the HBA of South Carolina for 2021, Associate of the Year for the HBA of Greenville for 2022 and Associate of the Year for Horry-Georgetown HBA for 1999.

Charles is married with two children and one grandchild. He was born and raised as a South Carolina Gamecock and loves to get away to Edisto Beach whenever he can. Charles proudly serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for The Therapy Place in Columbia.

 

Brenda has been with SIC since 2020. She serves as the Accountant and is responsible for multiple entities including monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, management reports and coordinating multiple software systems. Brenda has worked in Accounting since graduating from George Mason University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Brenda is married and lives on beautiful Lake Murray. She enjoys swimming in the pool, camping at Myrtle Beach and spending time with family and her puppy, Lilly.

 

 

Marian has been with SIC since 2013 after getting her start in the industry in 1991. She works with the life insurance clients and helps with small group issues. Marian loves helping clients work through any problems they may have.

Marian is married with two sons and six grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family and her mother who is 94 years young. Marian is a sports fan and enjoys Carolina Football and Baseball. In her spare time she volunteers at the local food bank.

Reid has been with SIC since 2016 after retiring from 43 years in the retail grocery business. He specializes in long term health care. Reid understands how important long term health care is and what can happen if someone puts off purchasing it until it’s too late.

Reid is married with three children and two precious granddaughters. He loves spending time with them on the sandbar at Bluffton, SC or fishing in the May River. Reid also enjoys bird hunting and has been active in his church since moving to Barnwell almost 50 years ago.

James joined SIC in 2019 after graduating from Clemson University. He works as an employee benefits consultant in the Lowcountry office, specializing in group health and ancillary products, as well as life insurance solutions for businesses and individuals. James got his start learning insurance with his father and is excited to be part of the SIC team.

He enjoys watching baseball, football and golf, spending time at the beach or on the river. James is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time in the woods.

 

Jessica has been with SIC since 2014 and works in the Barnewell, South Carolina office as an Account Manager. She began as a temporary employee but quickly became a vital part of the team. Jessica especially enjoys the customer service aspect of her job that allows her to help the people she interacts with.

Jessica is married with three children. She enjoys reading and going on runs. She is a Carolina football fan and loves to be outdoors, hiking or kayaking.

 

 

McKenzie is new to SIC but not to the insurance industry. He graduated from Clemson University and then began working in the insurance field where he has over 20 years of experience. His work in insurance includes experience in life and health insurance, group medical, self-funded, level-funded, group dental, group life, LTD, STD and individual life.

 

 

 

 

Stefani has been with SIC since 2014 with a focus on Individual and Family health insurance.  She is a wife and mother. Stefani loves animals, especially dogs. Her favorite sport is rodeo. Stefani likes spending her free time in the garden, being on the water and out in nature.

 

 

 

Lori has been with SIC since 2017 and serves as an Account Manager in their Greenville, South Carolina office. She has worked in the insurance industry since 1991. Lori is a member and Board Member for the Piedmont Association of Health Underwriters since 1999. She has held many positions including from Secretary/Treasurer to President.

Lori has two grown children, a dog, cat and 3 grand dogs!  She loves the beach and the opportunity to travel whenever she can!

 

Jeniffer has been with SIC since 2017 where she serves as an Account Manager. She has been in the insurance industry for 24 years. Jeniffer graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and Industrial Marketing.

Jeniffer is married with three children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she likes to garden and refinish or restore furniture. Jeniffer also likes photography and listening to true crime podcasts.
